Arlene Tariq, LMSW

Licensed Master Social Worker

Feeling like you are on autopilot? Excessive avoidance and daydreaming? Feeling “stuck?” The truth is, we are all collectively complex human beings, narrowing down to neurodiversity, environmental factors, intergenerational learned behaviors and cyclical patterns. Within many modalities, I provide a holistic, strength-based approach as a means to define, explore, create and or recreate the reality you have always dreamed of, by working on psychological safety and well-being. My goal is to provide a safe space for self-expression and self-exploration within the values of acceptance and compassion, as I walk alongside your journey of self-discovery and healing.

I currently concentrate in the areas of trauma, relationships, attachment, life transitions, anxiety/depression, and the intersectionality within a wide range of women’s issues. In addition to this, I also focus on mental health challenges and treatment within second-generation immigrant children, adolescents and adults.). I am also Bilingual (Spanish), and able to provide psychotherapy sessions in Spanish.

Prior to landing at Tranquil Waters, I worked with adolescents and adults through the ECMC inpatient psychiatry program for two years. I am well-versed in psychotic disorders, and differentiating diagnoses. I currently serve children, adolescents and adults.
