Daryl Krakowiak is a professional Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Having worked at BryLin Hospital for five years and is currently employed at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for over seventeen years has allowed him to work with a diverse range of populations throughout his career. His experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with various psychiatric disorders and social and emotional needs in individual, group, and family therapies has led to his use of an eclectic and adaptive approach to patients. He takes a collaborative, person-centered, and goal-directed approach catered to individualized needs.
Prior work experience includes Clinical Case Manager/Social Worker at BryLin Hospital and Erie County Medical Center and Program Manager at ECMC’s Internal Medicine Clinic. Apart from his current work as the Assistant Director of Social Work in Behavioral Health at ECMC, he is a board member of the Erie County Suicide Prevention Coalition, an ECMCC Hospital Veterans Committee Member, an ECMCC Continuing Educations Units Committee Member, and a volunteer for the Mental Health Association of WNY.
In addition to work and volunteering, he spends his free time with his wife and three kids, helping to coach and provide support at their hockey and baseball games. His experience coaching sports has translated over into his work where he continuously works to mentor and motivates patients and staff to meet and exceed their goals.
