Emily is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with adults using trauma-informed and evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based techniques with her clients. Emily is passionate about working with her clients collaboratively to develop therapeutic goals to make positive changes in their lives.
With a BA in Psychology and Counseling and a Masters in Social Work from the University at Buffalo, Emily then gained experience working with many different clients and families through her work in the school social work department and as a psychotherapist in private practice settings. Emily specializes in anxiety, family dynamics, emotion regulation, women’s issues, Borderline Personality Disorder, and self-esteem treatment.
Emily often takes a therapeutic style that is compassionate, warm, and empathetic. She ensures her clients feel comfortable and creates a judgment-free and supportive zone for them. Emily is devoted to creating a genuine connection with her clients, in which they feel valued and empowered to achieve their goals.
