Taj (they/them) makes therapy an interactive and enjoyable experience for all, building on strengths and celebrating growth and progress. As an enthusiastic therapist with over 12 years of experience in mental health, Taj is committed to helping children, teenagers and young adults build their self-confidence, manage their moods and emotions, and feel motivated to be the best version of themselves.
Taj has extensive experience assessing and successfully treating anxiety and OCD. They are especially excited to help people find relief from their symptoms of anxiety, sadness, anger, irritability and sensory overload by identifying triggers, teaching personalized coping skills, and encouraging small, manageable steps.
Providing counseling to those who have gone through tough times, Taj is trained in Progessive Counting trauma therapy, as well as the Internal Family Systems approach. Taj is dedicated to helping people process and heal from trauma in a calming environment, allowing each person to move at their own pace and comfort level.
Taj’s office is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ folks to be themselves and explore all aspects of their identity. Taj is a LMSW/Therapist who graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2012 with a Bachelors in Psychology and received their Masters in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2021.
